athena hellmann is an artist born and raised in hong kong with international influences. a graduate of the university of california, los angeles, she is now based in los angeles, where her work spans clay, glass, and gemstones.

working across sculpture, jewelry, and functional objects, she explores themes of impermanence and transformation. through processes of heat, pressure, and time, raw materials shift form, revealing the inevitability of change and the traces left by their making.

alongside her studio practice, athena hosts workshops that bring creatives together to explore materials, process, and the act of shared making.
